Sanusi Mohammed, NFF General Secretary, stated: "We are in horrendous stun. 'Ponder kid' Hamilton was an impeccable honorable man in the genuine feeling of the word, in spite of being a previous worldwide player for Nigeria and a Central Mentor of the senior national group.
"He worked hard and with his entire heart for Nigeria in all circles, as a player, a mentor and as an executive. The Nigeria football family will miss him beyond a reasonable doubt."
Mr. Hamilton, who played for the senior national group in the 1960s and mid 1970s, incorporating including in the football competition at the 1968 Olympic Amusements in Mexico City, kicked the bucket in the early hours of Thursday.
