Principal: American Pacific International School, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

 

 

American Pacific International School (APIS)  has been established to create a new model of global education which respects Cambodian culture and which aims to transform our students into becoming independent, caring and responsible global citizens who will be prepared to make a positive difference in their own community and abroad. To support our business expansion, APIS are looking for qualified candidates to fill the positions School Principal based in Phnom Penh.

 

Key Responsibilities

- To establish academic policies, procedures and strategies to supplement the unclearly regulated mechanism;
- To drive academic program, policies, procedures and strategies - to ensure the quality excellences of schools' academic programs;
- To monitor and evaluate school curriculum, materials and teaching procedures, guidelines more effectively.
- To manage, observe and assessment for teachers' teaching and students' learning to improve and strengthen teaching and learning quality;
- To initiate classroom environment to support the concepts and environment of teaching and learning;
- To manage teachers' schedule to align with school operations and academic program.
- To manage academic professional training and provide capacity building to the teachers;
- To ensure the manpower planning for their current and future needs,
- To perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor

 

Minimum Requirements

- Master's degree in education or related fields;
- At least 5 years in private school management;

- Good negotiation and influencing skills;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Good command in English of both spoken and written;
- Working knowledge of IPC program and teacher training methodology;
- Working knowledge of MS Office skills on Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
- Demonstration of ability to work on multi tasks to meet the deadlines and under pressure;
- Demonstration of good leadership/ teamwork spirits;
- Strong commitment to diversity;
