Paul Ryan says he does not see a role for Congress in investigating author who criticized Trump in op-ed

  Ryan replied, "Not that I know of" when asked by a reporter if Congress should try to identify the anonymous author of the New York Times essay depicting President Donald Trump as amoral and unstable. However, he added that the author was "living in dishonesty" and should consider whether they want to stay in their role. "If you're not interested in helping the president, you shouldn't work for the president, as far as I'm concerned," he said.
