Can senators make peace after the bitter battle over Brett Kavanaugh? 'It'll take a while'

  An exhausted and bitter Senate moved toward approving Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court Saturday after a months-long bruising battle that caused deep divisions between the two parties. But senators were hopeful they would repair the damage — eventually. "It'll take a while," said Democratic Sen. Tom Carper of Delaware.
