  After considering 20 cities for its HQ2, Amazon selected Queens, New York, and Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. Amazon already employs 2,500 people in New York and has a tech hub there. Northern Virginia had emerged in recent weeks as a frontrunner, as the Washington region offered up several candidate sites a short drive from the nation's capital.
