About My Work
The concept of my artwork is to create an awareness of Advancing Agriculture through Technology because in recent times it has been left to literal documentation but there is need for the visuals to be in place for the present generation and the generations yet to come that Agriculture still need to be developed and advanced.
This artwork compares and contrast between the old and manual method of agriculture and the new (modern) ways of which agriculture is being carried out in Nigeria, it also depicts how the modern way of agriculture can be controlled through technology. It also shows the connection through which Nigeria has passed through in the development of her agricultural sector from man power(labour) which is used mainly in agriculture in the early centuries, to the use of improvised and modern methods which is boosting the growth of the agricultural sector in Nigeria.
The Impact of technology in agriculture so far have been outstanding and tremendous. Before the breakthrough in technology, all manners of agricultural practices and activities were carried out by the use of man power(labour) mainly to provide food for the nation which will usually take a very long process. But when advance technology which includes the use of machines was introduced and invented there have been fast progress and development in the agricultural sector, it became faster and easier.

In a way man does not need to go through much stress before producing agricultural products, for example, the watering of plant, making of ridges and clearing of weeds that can take a long process can now be done with the use of technological instruments and devices within a day. One sector of society that can cater for the teeming population of Nigeria adequately is agriculture. This more so, considering the recent statistics and population assessment, that about 69% Nigerians live below the poverty line, and once food is available, people will be healthy, they will be able to think productively to advance the nation. Not only this, but there are also numerous materials through agriculture that will be available for industries which will provide jobs and consequently curb banditry, terrorism, violent protest, armed robbery. When there is enough job opportunity even in the agricultural sector the rate of criminal activities will reduce.

COLORS:
In other to portray mood, I have made use of color schemes ranging from dull to bright colors. Greens were used for growth in representing the advancement of agriculture through technology

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY:

TO THE GOVERNMENT: This artwork is a wakeup call to document the advancing of agriculture through technology.
TO THE ARTISTS/ ART STUDENTS: It is a means to visual document the advancing of agriculture through technology for the present generation and unborn generations to see.
TO THE SOCIETY: Apart from aesthetic significance it is meant to educate the literate and illiterates the great importance and benefit of advancing agriculture through technology.

For the research made, it is evident that we still need more to be done in agriculture through visual representation of advancing the agricultural sector through technology.
In conclusion technology has been improving and will continue to improve the rate of agricultural growth in Nigeria.

About My Work
The concept of my artwork is to create an awareness of Advancing Nigeria through Technology. Visually this work represents “Advancing Nigeria through Technology” because in recent times it has been left to literal documentation but there is need for the visuals to be in place for the present generation and the generation yet to come.
Technology has so much evolved in other countries of the world, so why should Nigeria be an exemption? Nigeria has been endowed with so much in Agriculture, Education, Art and Culture and so on.

This artwork shows/depicts a robot (youth) painting on a frame shaped as Nigeria (map), the National theatre in Lagos. The National theatre during the 1970s was built as a symbol of Art and culture so I decided to make we Nigerians remember that Art and Culture has not been forgotten.
The robot represents technology meaning, we can improve our Art and culture even with the existence of robots, robot cannot be replaced with man when it comes to expression of the mind one’s work or when it comes to indigenous dance and stunts. So we as Nigerians should not shun technological advancement in our country.
The background was captured to be seen as an African motif. It shows our nativity, our tribe and ethnic as one. If Nigeria Improves in her technology, machines can make cloths of various African motifs so that when we move around with our robotic made clothes we would never forget our culture as long as they have signs of African on them.

The Frame (Map) is to show our pride and dignity as Nigerians. The Frame (Map) been painted on by the robot shows that the technology we are talking about is of Nigeria.
Technological advancement in Nigeria is a good thing but we as Nigerians should not allow technological advancing to encroach our culture but to refine and polish our culture because if our culture is taken from us we seize to be Nigerians

Speaking on National Liberation and Culture, Amilcar Cabral mentioned that, “The best way of enslaving a group of people is to absorb their culture, making it of no value to them and then introduce new things to them.
The national assembly represents using technology to advance Nigeria politics, instead of having people count votes, computers or artificial intelligence can be used to count and collate results of elections either in local, state or national level. Technology can be used to preserve and refer our Nigerian Laws enacted in the national assembly.
Through my painting, I have depicted Nigeria being changed by technology, but Nigeria being advanced through technology.

WHAT ARE WE ADVANCING?
We are advancing our culture, Art and History through technology

COLORS:
In order to portray mood, I have made use of color schemes ranging from dull to bright. The green and white butterfly represents prosperity, growth and flourishing development that Nigeria can attain with the advancement of technology also it symbolizes the height Nigeria can get to with such advancements. It also means good luck and money.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
TO THE GOVERNMENT: The National Assembly represents using technology to advance Nigerian Politics. Instead of having people count votes, computers or other artificial intelligence can be used to count and collate results of elections either local or state level. Technology can also be used to preserver and refer our Nigerian Laws enacted in the National assembly.
TO THE ARTIST (ART STUDENTS) AND STUDENT:  This work is a means of me visually document the advancement of Nigeria through Technology for the present generation and unborn generation to see.
TO THE SOCIET
Through my painting (illustrations), I am not depicting Nigeria been changed by technology but Nigeria being advanced by technology. Apart from its aesthetic significance it is meant to educate the literate and illiterates the importance and benefit of technology to Nigeria.
Lastly, as it is often said, “Culture is the way of life.’’ As Nigerians however, our culture is what distinguishes us from other countries and also defines our uniqueness and peculiarity. The culture of a particular people defines who they are.
