Struggle among herders and farmers brought about by grazing has prompted the death of many individuals and removal of thousands from their neighborhood Communities.
On the tenth May, 2021, 15 out of 17 lead representatives in the Southern Nigeria met in Asaba, Delta state to talk about the condition of uncertainty in the country especially in their areas. There they all spoke in one voice against grazing. They said other than utilizing the animals to eat crops and obliterate farms, these herders were likewise blamed for submitting furnished theft, capturing and murder.
Recently, January 25th, the six lead representatives in the South West of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo states had met in Akure the capital of Ondo state to meet where they boycott late evening munching and crowding of cows by underage youngsters.
Today, the Arewa Youth Assembly said that they are on the side of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice who had before opposed forbidding of open touching. They ( Arewa Youth) said each Nigerian resident has the option to live and approach his/her real business in any piece of the country.
They talked further that cows raising business is a kind of revenue to people and the country everywhere, formation of January be just as a wellspring of nourishment. Thusly, forbidding it will end numerous individuals' wellspring of job.
